$10Trl Imports and $500B Outbound FDI in Five Years

President Xi said on last Sunday that China will imports $10 trillion worth of foreign goods in the next five years and Chinese companies will have outbound foreign direct investment of $500 billion. In the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2013 held in the beautiful Hainan Province, President Xi gave his estimates for future international cooperation opportunities and suggested that China will “vigorously promote[s] prosperity in Asia and the whole world”.

At a time when heated discussions about China’s relationship with North Korea and Japan circulate in the air, President Xi emphasized China’s policy once more that “problems should be resolved through dialogues no matter how situation changes”.
