I have really enjoyed reading about the erratic driving habits in China and this article solidified in my mind the fact that I will never drive on Chinese highways. It’s very interesting how differences in culture transfer so fluidly onto the roadways. I’d be curious to learn more about car insurance payments/requirements in China…
Having driven in India I can relate to this and to Miller’s book. It may be a cliche but it is very much true that in India, when a cow crosses the road, motorists do NOT prod it to move more quickly/honk their horns/etc. Cows have the right of way.
