This is the location of Jǐng dé zhèn [景德镇]. If you switch the scale you can see where Jingdezhen lies relative to today’s ports. Until fairly recent times, the major cities that would have tied into this area were Nanjing and Suzhou (which lies on the Grand Canal that connected the lower Yangtze River valley to the North China plain).
